BBC NEWS UZBEK

In the BBC's refresh project, the producers aimed to create a new design that emphasizes concise narratives with a friendly tone, specifically targeting younger audiences through educational and engaging content.

BBC NEWS UKRAINE

The main goal creating this project was to aim to connect with Ukrainian people by utilising a universal language that can be understood by audiences worldwide, but still have Ukrainian culture feeling. With transparency and providing in-depth analysis as its core values, this project strives to deliver news that is easily accessible and comprehensible for everyone. By ensuring transparency, the BBC News Refresh Project intends to foster trust and credibility among its audience, ensuring that they receive accurate and reliable information.

NOWRUZ

Nowruz, the celebration of the first day of spring, symbolizes new beginnings, traditions, and the rejuvenation of life. This project focuses on capturing the essence of these concepts, emphasising the importance of embracing change, growth, and the renewal of our spirits. Just as spring brings forth vibrant colors, blossoming flowers, and the warmth of the sun, this endeavor seeks to ignite a sense of freshness and vitality in our lives.

BBC PASHTO REFRESH

This project was a refresh design of the BBC Pashto program. It aimed to align the program with our atlas style and ensure consistency across all our programs. This was an important step in achieving a unified look and feel. Personally, it was my first time working on a refresh program of this nature, and I am very pleased with it and believe it was a successful endeavour.

MERMAN

BBC has launched an educational program specifically intended for women and girls, especially those in rural areas - in Afghanistan and Pakistan providing them with a platform to express their opinions and seek answers to their questions.

Shazia Haya and Aalia Farzan are BBC journalists who moved to the UK following the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan. Shazia says: “This programme for me means giving a voice to the voiceless. I hope Mermen will help empower the Afghan women to have better lives - and I feel really privileged to be part of such a journey.”
